This is a tree with multiple hollows that Gang-gangs have shown an interest in over multiple years. On arrival this time a female was observed looking into the top (8m) hollow. The male was perched in a neighbouring tree. A pair of Galahs flew in and pecked at the female who then joined the male. After 3 minutes teh Gang-gangs flew off and then the Galahs flew off. The top hollow was poled and found to contain a bark lined bottom consistent with Gang-gang nest preparation. The bottom hollow (3M) was poled and also contained a bark lined bottom of gang-gang size bark pieces but this was overlain with fresh gum leaves suggesting possum use, Both hollows were empty at time of inspection.
