Only 2nd record of this species in the CNM area - and it it is a South East extension of the previously known range of the species

Hmm seems an interesting one to me! Certainly not P aciculiformis or P. squamata, and doesn't look like P. hamata either with those hairy lateral sepals, which would be the main suspects. I might send to Lachlan and see what he thinks. Its in an interesting part of the world too.

Have checked with Lachlan who suggests boormanii, aligns with my initial impression. O boormanii is usually a plant of the dry western slopes and I've not heard of it in our region. But then again, this area has lots of stuff more typical of drier inland areas, because of the rain shadow I suppose.

I considered boormanii but PlantNet suggested it doesn't occur so far south.
