When I arrived, the female was sitting at the entrance to the hollow doing a lot of preening. After about 10 minutes the male emerged (image 2) and this interaction took place with the female flapping her wings a number of times. The male then moved to a nearby branch and also started preening, while the female entered the hollow.
If people could please keep an eye out for this male who is missing his crest - would be good to know how far it is travelling fro hollow in which it is showing an interest
I confirmed this observation yesterday but the male was not visible/present. The female was at the hollow entrance making a strange soft clicking sound. It was this call that drew my attention to the site.
