Galahs were winning in the competition for limited hollows this evening. The bark around this hollow looked well chewed, and it seemed a deep hollow. When I first noticed the gang gangs, I could see only the female. She disappeared into the tree, then came out and stretched and pulled her glorious wings, cocking her head. It seemed like she was angry at the bees in a bee hive in the hollow below them (last photo). She was then chased off by a galah. The male then popped up, and was chased off by a second galah. The galah then perched proudly by the hollow as the twilight moved in.
