It's a good question Mike - it may be that at least some of the colonies have died out due to the long wet winter, or that they have been weakened and starting off very slowly this spring for the same reason. I have noticed a colony where I live that seems weaker this year than last year - I guess we will have to wait and see what happens. Cheers, Jon
