Agree the male is Scarlet, but thinking the female is more likely Flame, considering the amount of brown on the back. The back patterning looks wrong, as does the stance of the bird, all of which look more reminiscent of Flame in my view.

Oh I put it on bird ID and it came back female Scarlet Robin. The male Scarlet Robin in the last photo was pretty close to the bird in the first 2 photos also. Not sure if this may help a bit also.

I still reckon Flame, there is absolutely no reason that the 2 species wouldn't co-exist (in fact they do in many areas). See what others have to say maybe. The plumage and posture just suit Flame much more so than Scarlet.

yes we did see the Flames around Scarlet Robin also but these 2 seemed to be together even though they were not close enough to do a photo of them together but I know what you are saying as from the back they are hard to tell. Unfortunately we were unable to get a front pic that would have helped a lot but then that's how it goes sometimes. Yep will see what anyone else can determine, happy to remove the pics of the female just let me know. Thanks for your time and help, much appreciated.

sorry forgot about this, have deleted the first 2 pics to remove any confusion. Thanks again for your help.
