Author's notes

Limnobium laevigatum (with Azolla, etc.) in courtyard pond at National Film and Sound Archive. Not in flower, but with distinctive spongy, thickened, rounded immature leaves.

Thank you for spotting. They have agreed to remove and solarize in dark coloured garbage bags to kill it, and do follow-up control. Will be worth checking ANU ponds too. NSW DPI regards frogbit as Limnobium laevigatum because no records of L. spongia in Australia...yet.
