User's notes

The location is an approximation because the rock formation may have been blocking the GPS signal. There were a number of these crickets on the rocks heading up to a small cave. The shots of the female were right at the opening of the cave. I could not find a species on the CNM but I saw some other pictures on line of Cave Crickets and was wondering if that is what these are. Is the first picture an instar or is it an adult male please?

I assume you are talking about Cave Creek. I have a picture in my book of a cave cricket from Murrays Cave (Insects of South Eastern Australia p.82). Both sexes are wingless so you also have an adult male.

Hi Roger, Many thanks for the confirmation. Coincidentally, I am just reading your book, on Kindle, and had just started reading the cave insects section after I posted. Again, many thanks for the identification and information.
