Jiggy I went and had a look at this plant in location I think it is Onobrychis viciifolia (Sainfoin) but it had no flowers or pods and stipules had dried up - so will make a collection for the herbarium when it flowers. If is is Sainfoin it will be the first record of this species naturalised in the ACT and surrounding region. I gather it used to be used as hay plant in the 1950s and has low weed potential.
Thank you Michael, I'll upload to inaturalist and send to Steve to put on his radar. The park care group a has done a great job here, and we have start to help them in protecting this site. You may have seen all the ALG on the boarder of this grassland starting to brown after we treated the alg and cng. We don't want a new incursion in this area. Cheers
No worries Jiggy the other possibility is Crown Vetch (Securigera varia) but I ruled this out as the end leaflet is not larger than the others which appears to be an identifying trait for Crown Vetch
