User's notes

One vigorous plant has emerged in the same location, though not in the identical spot, where a plant of the same species emerged last year. It’s in a narrow nature strip on the south side of Nevertire St. This year’s plant is likely to have emerged from a buried seed store, as did last years’s plant.

After a quick quick scan of NSW PlantNet, I suggest this is Solanum sysimbrifolium.

Steve - this seems to be a high weed risk plant - which given it has rhizomes may be best to control with chemical - do you want me to control it if so can you advise on the method

Michael,

Last year’s plant was a little distance from the plant that’s emerged this year. I believe they are seedlings emerging from a buried seed-store. I chopped the last year’s plant off below its base, and I intend to do the same with this year’s plant asap.
