Author's notes
5 young being fed on nest until a Dusky Moorhen came in and pushed them off and started destroying the nest. The adult pair of Grebes watched helplessly the 5 youngsters were together in the water nearby. The Moorhen finally got off the nest and the pair of Grebes chased it off, but the Grebes did not go back on the nest. The pair swam off with their 5 chicks. On our way back past they were not on the nest and it looked as if it had been destroyed even more. Happy ending as we have found out the next day that the family were spotted back on their nest.
