I’ve been watching this nest ever since it was first being inspected by a pair of Eastern Rosellas. I observed them courting, and over the weeks observed the male feed the female within the nest as she incubated the eggs. A few weeks ago, I went to check back on the nest, and to my surprise saw 4 chicks poking their heads out, and as if to further astound me, there was 3 crimson chicks and 1 eastern chick. I have since observed a pair of crimsons come and go regularly, but the chicks have since left the nest with the eastern pair, and I haven’t seen any of them since. Any comments on this, or theories as to what happened ?
