Rare visitor to the ACT. Last year had an influx to the area which was due to the drought. First record this summer.

Thanks for the great sighting millsse. Could you please confirm the estimated number of birds and amend your abundance to a single number rather than a range. Do you think this is a nesting site as it is unusual to see these birds in the Canberra urban area? Thanks, Sandra

Sighted at Canberra Airport, within the airfield next to a taxiway (visible in foreground of photo). Very unlikely to be a nesting sight due to location. Infrequent visitor on airport, last time I saw one was July 2017
