Brown female showing the characteristic 'horseshoe -shaped' reniform mark distinct from the similarly brown P. hypochalchis female with its narrower angular reniform mark bordered by a pale strip. See page 3./4 for P. hypochalchis on the supporting disc (Moths of Victoria, part 9) which provides guidelines for separatijg these two species (P. hypochalchis and P. tibiata).
