I found some of these north of Fraser in Kuringa Woodland beside Kuringa Drive on Friday 11th. It'll be interesting to have the i.d.!! Rosie, Mt Rogers Landcare.

I went back to check these plants and they are now in flower, tall stems of purple flowers - definitely Pelisser's toadflax (Linaria pelisseriana).

What a shame, I thought they might be a) a native and b) something interesting rather than invasive.
Thanks T.

I was hoping it might've been some nice little native succulent too, but instead I was disappointed find the grasslands at Umbagong District park full of exotic toadflax.

CNM may prove me wrong but I think the irruption of the paler Toadflax Linaria arvensis is quite recent whereas the L. pelisseriana has been subtly around for years (fooling me each spring).
We could do with an army of people to pull these out from the quality-vegetation areas before seeds set....but that's true of many invasive species whilst soils are still damp.
