Nikki a significant sighting - but that feature is currently not working. This site is one site I need to check re mowing and the impact (both negative and positive) that it may be having at this location. I had previously recommended a reduction in mowing area - would appreciate your thoughts.

The Lespedeza itself wouldn't be impacted by mowing as it is right down in the creek. Much of the grassland area is looking fabulous at the moment with Themeda, Sorghum, Chrysocephalum, Plantago, Glycine etc. I'm not sure how much the inner circle would get mown as it is locked off by roads, but any mowing should be left until late autumn-winter when the C4s have stopped growing. Alternative is to burn it in autumn/winter- tricky!

Thanks Nikki - It would be mown annually except for restrictions placed on the site

Hi Nicki and Michael. Is it possible that sighting 3878296, from further up the same drainage line, could also be this species?
