First sighting at this hollow. Jacky and I had been monitoring this hollow for weeks. There was a scare earlier this morning when the hollow was attacked by a number of Lorrikeets. Jacky heard the nestlings growling at the time to defend themselves in the hollow. We did all we could to scare the Lorrikeets away but had no success until a Galah flew by and this seemed to frighten the Lorrikeets away (which must have thought it was the parents returning).
Jacky F saw these nestlings first and I took the photo. The mother Galah looked on while the nestlings peered out probably for the first time.
