Drama at Hollow 51!
After checking my site nearby, thought I'd check hollow 51. On the way I came across a young male in a tree who headed up towards the hollow as well - seemed a bit clumsy and missing a few feathers in his tail. As I was nearing the hollow around 7.15 a gang gang pair arrived. There were a couple of sulphur-crested in the hollow tree. One scc started to become aggressive, snapping off small branches and calling. The gang gangs started calling and a stoush developed between the two species flying at each other and calling raucously. The young male was amongst it at the start. Another 3 scc's turned up and sat in the hollow tree. 2 scc's flew to 2 of the hollows in the tree and crawled around them looking inside them. The stoush lasted about 5 minutes until the scc's flew off to trees a bit further away. The gang gang pair flew to a nearby tree and munched on gum nuts - I left them to it around 8am.
