Moved some mulch and disturbed these tiny ants and they began moving the uncovered eggs. On the computer I realised that some of them were half-formed larvae and you could see their little faces.
Hi Alison, these ants do look a bit like Colobopsis macrocephala, but their size is so small it is unlikely. I think they are probably Technomyrmex, but it's hard to be sure. There is a recent sighting of Technomyrmex on CNM where they are also carrying eggs and larvae. Cheers, Jon
