Ist CNM record of the Variable Jewel Bug and there are few eastern Australian records within the Atlas of Living Australia

Another interesting bug have not cast eyes upon before? Apols again re photography, shooting macro without flash can be problematic!

I emailed Gerry Cassis, the expert on the jewel bugs, this morning and the answer came immediately back as Choerocoris variegatus
