Have you matched this species somewhere Ian, or judged that it looks like Leucania generally? I haven't been able to find it in Leucania, Bathytricia or Heliothiinae.

No, fair comment. If I had found a good match to something named Leucania sp. I can't reproduce it now. I believe i thought it was close to L. polysticha, but looking again I now think that was somewhat premature. This moth seems to be a much stockier specimen to the more elongate L. polysticha.. Its hard to tell whether the whitish prominent wing venations are due to wear and tear or not
