The snake was about 2 metres long, there is also a photo showing the snake next to a watchful flock of geese on the water (under Goose) when the snake is getting up on the jetty. The geese warned me of the snakes approach and grouped closely together as the snake passed behind them to go on the jetty. They kept a close eye on the snake until it slithered back into the water the other side. After that I was able to exit the jetty and the geese left the water for dry land also.
