Private property. No public access without permission. Leaves were notched at the end and not hairy.

Excellent photos of the leaves and stems showing the number of leaflets, whether the leaflet tips are notched or not, notes on leaflet width, and whether the stem hairs are spreading or not, are needed to ID Swainsoa to species level.
The only diagnostic shown in these photos is that the teeth of the calyx (cupping the flower) are much shorter than the calyx tube. This strongly suggests monticola, but wurhout the other details, is not enough for a positive ID.

Thanks for the suggestions. The plants have not re-emerged this year but perhaps after the rain they will. If so, I will take some close up photos and post to CNM.
