There was also an eastern rosella sticking its head in there from time to time as I watched - not sure how well they share?

Their hollow size requirements are different so generally I wouldn't expect there to be any conflict for nest sites between the 2 species. From the photo it looks like a typical Striated Pardalote hollow rather than an Eastern Rosella.
