There is a different bee in each picture. Image 1 is a male leaf-cutter bee that looks to me like M. maculariformis, but the details are not clear enough to be certain. Image 2 is of a female resin bee, which appears to be too large to be M. tosticauda. It may be M. heliophila, but there are other possibilities.

Thanks, Michael. Sorry I mixed up a couple of images there. I have separated them to two sightings and added a couple more images, which may or may not make ID easier. I still think the one above may be tosticauda - I have a specimen which is 10mm. The second one (new record now), I don't know. How did you know it was male?
