I agree that it belongs to the pauciflora group, but was there anything that made you think it was T. peniculata rather than T. pauciflora?

Tony only the fuller shape of the petals (rounder shape), the flower was small possibly 10-15 mm across. It was the only plant in flower, a late bloomer, it has been a fruitful year as there were many many plants with ripe fruit. There should be much seed. DerekC

I was choosing between these 2 but was only looking at each single example in your book, when I look at examples on CNM T. pauciflora looks more reasonable.

Derek, I have gone with T. pauciflora which was my initial reaction. T. peniculata is usually a more robust multi-flowered plant.
