Not sure if an ID possible from these photos. It was a small mammal, similar in size to a clenched fist or a bit smaller, it kept burrowing in the grass and leaf litter, it had a blunt head shape rather than the pointed nose of your usual rat. I'm wondering if it was a bush rat? Kind regards, Roy.
