Is it aromatic when the leaves are crushed? I really need to have a closeup of the flowers, leaves, and fruiting bodies to be sure of the ID.

Aromatic. Long reddish stems with long fruiting stems, leaves small. A nearby plant (photo 3) had been grazed and had more, larger leaves. NSW Plantnet does not have Dysphania pumilio in its key.

It is in the VicFlora website. It dropped out of Plantnet when the name was updated from Chenopodium pumilio. You could perhaps contact them about it.
