This is another colony. I didn't see any activity in the other two colonies which were both partially burned. I had wondered about it being C. hispida when I saw these last year, just from the appearance of the leaves. I guess we'll have to wait and see if they flower.
Given the timing of when the photos were taken and that there appears to be a semblance of buds on both plants I think it has to be C. hispida and have confirmed it as such. I don't recall Corysanthes being recorded in AB until recently, but as C. incurva has been found there, there's no reason that C. hispida doesn't also occur as they share the same habitat albeit with different flowering times.
Having observed at least two different species recently, I can say that the majority of corysanthes leaves Cath and I have recorded lately are not C. incurva. The C. incurva on Mt Majura was still growing last week (leaves curled as opposed to flat). Is there any possibility of other species?
There's always a possibility of a new find Matt, but you will have to await flowering until you can claim a first. Possibilities might be C. fimbriata or C. diemenica.
