After visiting the P. pedunculata previously documented by Aaron Clausen, I decided to look for more, after all there was a nice valley. On the edge of patch of Apple Box and Wattle trees, I was greeted by a slightly larger colony (~30 plants) further along the Casuarina Trail. However, this colony had a leader, a mighty two-headed hydra!
Haha. This is totally awesome. Congratulations Matt. You just doubled the known number of maroonhoods on Mount Majura. Keep it up, I wonder what you will discover tomorrow!
