Thanks for revisiting this one, somehow I didn't end up replying to your comment. From what I can see on ALA there seems to be records up the escarpment, and many of these patches along here have habitat and plants more reminiscent of the coast, so it wouldn't surprise me. I haven't been able to come up with any more plausible suggestions so far.
