We would like to congratulate Alison Milton for her effort in posting over 10,000 sigtings on Canberra Nature Map. She has had unwavering committment since joining in 2016, and has posted a huge number of excellent photographs with 20 significant sightings.

Alison is also a moderator for Beetles, Ants and Leafhoppers, having learnt her skills while part of the CNM team. She is a fine example of what can be achieved by an amateur citizen scientist with enthusiasm and dedication.

Hi Alison,

There is a very difficult to obtain new badge on your profile now.

Currently the only one in existence within the entire NatureMapr community.

Just thinking out loud, you have roughly 1 sighting for every single member!

Legendary effort!

Cheers

Aaron.

Thanks everyone.
I have to thank the Moderators, particularly the two Michaels and Kim for IDing my early reports and setting me on the learning curve. As Michael said almost all of my current knowledge is due to CNM. I'm proud that I can now ID almost every ACT bird and put almost every insect into at least a catergory if not Genus or Species. I particularly thank Michael M for his faith in me and his encouragement to give me the confidence to become a Moderator.
Also thanks of course to Aaron for creating this project and his resilience at keeping it going despite all the challenges. This project also would not have continued and grown wihout all the other contributers and Moderators.
I admit that CNM has become a passion with Eucalyptus leaf beetles being my particular interest. In light of this I am just a day or two away from completing a preliminary study of Eucalypt larvae. I can now definately ID eight species and hope to have the results available soon. However, there is still more work to do on the larvae I have not yet been able to find and collect to raise to adult beetles.
Thanks again everyone.

Thanks Alison the support and encouragement has been a two way partnership and I thank you for this and for your massive documentation of our local wildlife. I look forward to you correcting some of my more dubious leaf beetle ID's . I will be taking your book up to read to my Grandson this weekend.

Thanks you Alison. Wonderful. I saw all the insects you have sighted in Magpie Hill Park. I have started noticing insects and I'll now try and look out for more after seeing your great photos.
