slightly furry leaves. weed?

Get rid of it before the seed pods ripen. The seeds have a tuft of long hairs so spread in the wind. The root is quite thick but you can dig the plant out quite easily.

Yes, pretty interesting plant. I don't know why (given the number seeds) that this is the only plant I have seen in this area.

Going by the comments on Other Wildflower Oxypetalum coeruleum (Tweedia or Southern Star) on 16 Feb 2015 it started on Red Hill. I have seen it on Mugga Mugga, Isaacs Ridge and Wanniassa Hill.
