Michael the leaves look like they have a rounded end rather than the jagged ends of L. longifolia - can you confirm if this was the case

Definitely not L. longifolia. I thought this might be L. multflora, but I had not seen one with such a simple form - ie the small tuft of leaves, and long slender inflorescence; and there were several of them like this.
