I presume you could not get farther away for your photo of the whole plant. I would have liked to see that. Callitris glaucophylla usually grows as a much denser tree than in your photo. I think the cones in photos 1 and 2 are very immature female cones. To be sure of the ID, we need mature cones.
The funny looking dark stuff in photos 3 and 4 is an insect gall. It might be worthwhile to put those two photos up as an insect sighting. You can link the two sightings via the comments field.

Betty, I think that the dark things in images three and four are seed capsules (still attached to a fine branchlet) from a nearby myrtaceous tree or shrub that have fallen into the Callitris.
