Author's notes

Female nestling poking head out of nest hollow, see previous sightings here including nestling wings poking out of hollow. Both parents in nearby tree. Male flew down to chase away some rosellas, flew back up, calling softly. Nestling poked head up, calling softly "cow...cow...cow", as if begging, with head bobbing.

Thanks Jacky I think we are now up to seven nest trees on and around Red Hill this season
