Author's notes

Female outside hollow where pair successfully bred last summer. This is the first time I have seen her there this season. This hollow may have just been vacated by wood ducks, see downy white feathers in bottom right corner. Last summer the hollow also had duck down outside when the gang gangs started nesting there.
