Author's notes

Private property. No public access without permission. This is the same orchid as: http://canberra.naturemapr.org/Community/Sighting/3385791 which was the first sighting. This is the first year the orchid had two flowers. The flower got bitten off at the stem by something.

With two flowers I'm now saying its likely to be C. carnea, but assuming its the same plant I'm still puzzled by the appearance fro 2014.

It is the same plant as 2014, 2016 and 2017. I have uploaded another sighting of a different plant from last year as well: http://canberra.naturemapr.org/Community/Sightings/Details/3385808. It only flowered in 2016. The size of these orchids is about 6cm. They are tiny. We have this one marked with a large white stake for that very reason. This orchid were first spotted by ANPS members on a field trip to our property in October 2014. We had no idea they were there!

Ok I've now confirmed this as C. carnea, in which case I should now go back and confirm the others the same.
