Would you be able to tell me whether this moss was growing on rock, wood or soil? The lower left of Photo 2 suggests rock, but from the photos I can't tell for sure.
The identification of this as a species of Campylopus is plausible and the genus is fairly common on soil in the local area, but the photos alone do not provide irrefutable proof.
