Stevie hollow continues. However, I was intrigued by their behaviour. For 15-20 minutes at least, the pair were on a nearby tree, frantically chipping around another hollow; allopreening; and also their unique allofeeding gestures. Around 7.10pm Stevie flew to the hollow and settled in her position inside the mouth of the hollow. I recall that when Stevie had nested at Larissa hollow, the pair exhibited similar behaviour - leaving the hollow for 10 -20 minutes to perch on nearby trees, and chew bark on other trees.
