User's notes

Frog, known from sound only but can't identify. Living in swampy ground where a horse trough overflows into the paddock. I'd like to know if it can be identified from the sound please.

It can, but you need to record the call, perhaps with your mobile phone and post the file here. If you download the free app "FrogID" from The Australian Museum, that site includes frog calls which might also help you, but for this data base moderators need to establish id by an image or call to confirm the sighting.

Thanks Wombey, I thought that I had uploaded the MP3 file with the sound recorded. I've added it now. Yesterday we noted that there were at least 2, probably 3, frogs at this location, and several more in a watercourse 50m down the hill.
