Going by Moths of Vic Pt. 4 CD I picked this as a (not particularly red suffused) H. tachyhalotaria. The distribution map on iNat has H. percomptaria in Melbourne area & Tasmania, however MoV says it is found in Snowy Mountains (NSW). H. tachyhalotaria has much broader distribution in both references.
