Looks like he is missing a portion of his tail? There is a surprising concentration of records of Rosenberg's Goannas (aka Heath Monitors) near that location. We can recognise individuals by their left face and right face if the photo is sharp enough. More information here https://www.npaact.org.au/goanna-project
