An upset male gang-gang alerted me to look over at this tree, where I found the reason for his growling - five(5) tawny frogmouths!! Two pairs on two different branches, and a lone tawny on a lower branch (all pictured in this post). I would be interested to know whether these are a family group, or all fledglings from different families, or older young birds?
This is a family group. The two top birds are juveniles/fledglings, about a 3-4 weeks out of the nest. The adult male, with a loose feather, is sitting next to another juvenile. The adult female is on her own.
