User's notes

As the afternoon moves in (around 4pm), gang-gangs begin gathering for a feed, a play, a hang and a drink. They converge from east, south, west, north, up to 20-plus. Lately, at the same time of day, pied currawongs have begun to swarm the area, again converging from all directions. However, I've noticed that the currawongs are aggressive towards the gang-gangs, flying to trees where gang-gangs have congregated then swooping at gang-gang groups or individuals, actively causing the gang-gangs to move away. This afternoon, I was photographing some young gang-gang males goofing around, wings spread, when suddenly a black-and white, sword-beaked form rushed at the young ones - but this time, they held their ground! For the first time, I also noticed currawongs drinking from the same drink hollow as the gang-gangs. In this competition for resources, I know who I'm supporting . . .
