The female was agitated by something inside the hollow and kept circling and squawking into it. The male was on an adjacent branch and appeared to be dozing....

Thanks Tim - I think that this was a previously successful Gang-gang nesting hollow, but since then has had sugar gliders in most breeding seasons. Sugar gliders prey on Gang-gang chicks
