Hard to tell what it is covered in dirt. It could be a Crinia, there does not appear to be a parotid gland.

It was much bigger than crinias i have seen, it was about 40mm.

Given the eye shape, size and colour, the long toes, pale stripe on the lower lip this appears to be Limnodynastes tasmaniensis, I think the eye shape and size does not align for crinia and the lack of parotid gland rules out uperoleia.
