invasive species needing control. Seemed to be just an isolated patch around the SE corner of intersection. Unfortunately it has been recently slashed, so seed may have been spread.

I don't know if this is a species to be concerned about. I don't think I have ever seen it grow any further than a metre from a road or footpath. Seems to love asphalt, but is possibly allergic to soil.
