Stericta carbonalis? The pattern matches quite well but it looks more like a Scoparia moth in shape. Hmmm.... I only have one photo.

A new species for NatureMapr's Canberra and Southern Tablelands region if confirmed. Apparently its range includes SE mainland Australia inclluding Tasmania. Species name recognized by thge AFD and the ALA< Not shown on BOLD4., so apparently no records online easily visible for the ACT or Canberra region. Excellent photo.

It was moved from Scoparia to Eudonia in 2012.
