User's notes
Characteristics: noted: Tufted habit. Spikelets greenish, more than 10 mm long. Ligule about 16 mm long. Awn about 13 mm long, some noticeably bent (no sign of twisting using a hand lens); and inserted in top one third of lemma.

Jane, based on your measurements this should be Amphibromus neesii as the awn arises from the upper third of the lemma.
